At Westpark Sound, behind the console is engineer/producer/programmer/drummer: Tom Reeves.
As president of the Westpark Creative Group, Tom leads a team of studio professionals that has been responsible for all sorts of recording projects. (see our "Projects" page)
Our studio, Westpark Sound is the "HUB" for these projects. The place where it all comes together from start to finish. Artist projects, live show tracks, jingles, industrials--it all happens here.
Here are a few questions that Tom gets asked on a regular basis:
#1-Why would I bring my project to Nashviile, we have a great studio just down the street?
Two key reasons: Our track record and the talent pool available in Nashville.
#2-What creative services do you offer?
We offer production, writing, arranging, & orchestration from some of the best in business. Not just one person who writes for every project, but several different creative composers and arrangers.
#3-Who will record, produce and MIX my project?
From tracking to mixing, as a recording engineer, I'm a "hands on" kind of guy. This allows me to actually "do" instead of just "tell". Because many of my clients are also producers & arrangers, I may wear different hats on their projects: engineer, contractor, player, or project manager.
Westpark Sound is my personal studio. It's comfortable, highly evolved, and a great sounding studio with plenty of room to track or overdub.
#4-Can you really work within my budget?
Very likely. There is usually a way to make it work. My experience helps me: plan your budget wisely, organize a detailed creative effort, and then make it all happen in the studio environment.
So there you have it. Good starting questions and, hopefully, some helpful answers.
If you don't do anything else on this site I hope you'll take time to listen to my "DEMOS". You should hear my mix style.....the size, weight and impact that really sets my work apart.
You can also check out the "RAVES" page to see what my clients are saying. That's the bottom line!
I really do appreciate you visiting our site and taking the time to listen. Don't hesitate to call me with any questions you may have. Call me at 615-591-0011.
MY STORY:
In 1987, after 12 years of touring and over 3000 concerts as the drummer for TRUTH and the Grammy award winning group, THE IMPERIALS, Tom Reeves left the road to begin a career as a player, engineer and producer in the Nashville recording industry forming the basis for the Westpark Creative Group.
Early on, a relationship with Opryland's Director of Entertainment, David Patton opened up the corporate, theme park, and cruise ship music market for Tom. For Opryland Entertainment, Tom contracted, played on, recorded, & mixed dozens of shows including the Emmy award-winning, Opryland Kid’s Club projects.
Through David Patton and Gary Musick Productions, Tom and the Westpark team have been directly involved in numerous shows for Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruises, Dollywood Theme Park, music packages for the CBS Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, Nashville's Music City Bowl, and new shows with Las Vegas based, Sam's Town Casinos.
For over 20 years, numerous corporate industrials and jingle projects have come through the Westpark Creative Group hands. Gary Musick Productions, Meetings & Media, Dream Vision Studios, EcoQuest, NAPA Auto Parts, Interstate Batteries, Wild Oats Marketplace, Bristol–Myers Squib, Lilly, Opryland, Honda & Toyota have help put Westpark on the map in the corporate and advertising market.
Westpark Creative has been one of the primary recording vendors for Dollywood Entertainment for several years. In 2005 Tom worked directly with Dolly Parton on her new Imagination Playhouse attraction at Dollywood theme park. Two new shows for Dollywood are in the works for 2006.
Tom has been involved with several Dove and Grammy award winning groups-projects in the Christian Music Industry. Word Records, the Benson Company, Provident, Diadem Records, Lifeway, Lillenas, Cedarmont Kids, and many independent bands and artists continue to make up a very exciting client base.
In early 2007 Tom worked with Taylor Ware from the hit show "America's Got Talent". With Gary Musick Productions, Tom also has several new shows in production for Norwegian Cruise Line and continues to be a primary music recording vendor for Dollywood Theme Park. Also in early 2007, Tom also worked with newly signed country artists "Carter's Chord".
Most recently, Tom has been selected by famed producer, Greg Nelson to record and produce a portion of the Lifeway Worship Project which is slated to be one of the largest recording endevours in modern history. Production starts in late 2006 and continues well into 2007. The Lifeway Worship Web site, launching in 2008, will be the largest church music resource of its kind.
